Question on this setup,

I have the same rack as you do, and I like how that mounting looks...

Could I acheive the same thing by just drilling two 1/2 holes through the racks rear uprights and running two bolts through to hold the jack?

Hi-Lift approximate weight: 30lbs (14 kg). Since you can always use strong bolts/nuts, what I'm worried is the integrity of weld on the upright plates (brackets holding the tubes).

I used a washered nut with 8.8 grade bolt for the lighter side of the Hi-Lift.




On the heavy side (bottom) of the Hi-Lift, I reinforced it with 1" square bar.

I like the way you beefed up the heavy side. My overkill mind would force me to do it to the light side too.
