Incredibly, I just got mine in the mail. I think it was about 6 months, but I stopped counting after 5 weeks!

Seems well made, will hopefully test it this weekend.

Wab-fab also makes a high lift jack base that is larger and has spikes on all 4 corners. You can get both in his "Recovery Kit" and save yourself some money. His stuff is first class. The only drawback is he is a lot slow making it and getting it out and it may not be worth the wait. One day it's possible one could just loose all the money they pay upfront, in my opinion. Paypal only protects you for 45 days but a regular card will protect you for a long time so you should probably use that if you are worried about it.

I finally canceled my order to Wab-Fab and filed a complaint and a request for refund from PAYPAL within the allotted time period. Brian Drawhorn is incredibly bad with the truth. He promised them by Christmas and delivered to others but not to me. I managed to locate one through a dealer. I have found they are NOT powder coated at all, as the paint chips off incredibly easy. However, they now have a rubberized coating inside the round where it meets the slider.

PAYPAL only gives 45 days to allow you to complain and after that you have just lost your money. If Wab-Fab won't take a regular credit card don't deal with them. My opinion is that it's entirely possible that Brian is using your order money to finance his operation and live off, rather than keep it in escrow which he should be doing till he delivers. Similar to a Ponzi scheme. It's just as illegal but not enforced and many small businesses going hand to mouth do just that. But that's just my opinion only and has no basis in fact other than the long times it takes to get products and the constant excuses. Based on my dealings I have totally changed my opinion of him and his products. 4 to 6 months delivery and not being able to get a quick refund reinforces my opinion.

One thing I did do is try to deal with SBE. I couldn't get them by phone, email or carrier pidgeon and was unable to even place an order. So I would suggest you check with a reputable local welder and show them the design. Any good welder could make one without too much effort. You could paint it yourself or find a powder coating specialist to do it for you.

As an after thought I sent an email to SBE and inquired about their status. The fact that they had not responded about my order was surprising to me and I wondered if they were still in business.

Late this afternoon I received a reply. They are still in business according to Joe. He said the problem has been that they are very busy with their regular day jobs with Aerospace Engineers/Manufacturing and haven't been able to devote much time to SBE. But they are still there and the supply of products while slow at present will still be available. Good news for those who prefer not to do business with Wab-Fab.

Thanks to all the suggestions. I've never seen them on Ebay. But I have obtained what I needed. No more suggestions are necessary but thank you.

Make no mistake. The Wab-Fab guy will lie to you, and earn interest off your money till you squeal.

I waited months, contacted him by email and tried by phone and his final excuse was to tell me he didn't know I requested my money back. This is a neat trick. Have hundreds of folks send you money you can earn interest on until they bring action against you.

The guy is a dirt bag IMHO

Yup, I had the same experience. After the many months Web-Fab experience, I wasn't looking forward to another high blood pressure experience.

WabFab is well made, and has great service. I believe the wabbit was the first to do this. It's only $15 more. Support the original and be sure you get quaility! BTY, I have absolutely no connection with Wabfab-I just use and like their product
Hi-Lift Tubing Adapter **WE GOT MORE IN!*** RTC-HLA134

Do a search on WabFab's customer service before ordering anything from them! It will save you some grief!
RockTek makes these; They are better looking than the one in the picture. Support your Supporting Vendors. Talk to Wilson.

That looks like a good thing to make out of some scrap. I think I'll go make one.

That thought crosses my mind several times a day. The problem is, the parts keep getting bigger and more complicated!

As for this thread... I would highly recommend ordering one from WILSON and TRDParts4U. I make purchases there regularly for everything from oil drain plug gaskets to my Roof Top Tent! :rocker:
