Just want to revive this thread again I am in the situation where I got the extended travel coilovers for christmas from icon and would like some more opinions weather to install them and get UCA's in the future or trade them back and get regular ones.

Install them and swap UCAs later, to benefit from the additional shock travel, and correct the inherent issues with lifting and OEM UCA usage.

Way I understood it, Icon wasn't producing anything but the extended travel in the future.

You won't be benefit from the 9.5" of possible travel with the OEM UCA/LCA, but the extended travel will function the same as the previous coilover.

I've heard on good authority that the extended travel coil overs are capable of 9.5" travel.

UCAs should be a consideration regardless, but I'm assuming that LCAs would have to be replaced, as well to achieve the 9.5" travel.

I have one more question I am looking to just level it out right now because I do not have any lift in the rear so how far should I tell the shop to set the coilovers at?

It varies, vehicle by vehicle and from drivers to passengers side.

On top of, the front end will settle a bit, and require possible readjustment in a few thousand miles.

I've never installed Icon coilovers, but on my Kings, which had 600lb front coils, the coil nut would've been threaded down about 3/4" on passenger and 1" drivers to level.
Now, that's not a basis for establishing yours, but to give an idea.

It's easier to add coil compression, than to remove, and it's best to install, then drive around, measure, adjust, drive around, re measure, adjust, and so on.
