Jay, bandi gave you some good tips to follow like spraying water on the belt.The only thing I could add is using a 3' piece of heater hose as a cheap stethoscope. To me the stethoscope shown is too sensitive for my ears because when ever I used it I would hear all sorts of noises...lol! Let us know what you find out. :cheers:
 
When mine went it sounded like the truck was "groaning" when I first start it up. After a while it would seem to either go away or I just got used to it. It kinda reminded me of the sound of very low gears winding out, or the sound of a bike chain that is way too tight. As time went by, the sound never really changed it just got louder.

There was never any visible wiggle of the pulley when the engine was running, but once I took it off, I could feel it right away.

Just my $.02 worth, anyway.
