I was considering neatening up all of my accessory wiring to a fuse box that would allow for easier future electrical mods. I like the idea of being able to briefly turn the lights or other accessories on while the car is off, however I have had my battery drained by some lights that got left on.

I figured that to compromise on the situation, I could rig up a fuse block with a relay connected to a add a circuit on an empty fuse slot that is only hot when the truck is on. I would also add a relay? connected to a master power switch to bypass this and allow for usage while the truck is off. It would be a similar concept to adding backup lights that you can turn on manually or come on when you shift into reverse. Does anyone see any potential problems with this idea or ways to improve on it?

Thanks in advance.
