It takes me everywhere I want to go and more!

Prior to my 2012 FJ TT, I owned a 1982 pickup, a 1992 4Runner and 2 1995 4Runners. Also had a Corolla wagon when the kids were little.

The wife had a Camery when we got married, but this is my first rice burner of any kind. Now I'm wishing I had bought one new before they quit making them.

I've owned 4 Toyota's, and put over 200k on the first 3 after buying them with around 100k on them. The first being a Celica, then 2 4Runners. All of them were manual shift. I started looking at FJ's around 2000, but wanted to wait until my daughter was old enough to drive the 4Runner, then I would get my FJC. Well, my daughter wanted a Bug and it had to be an automatic! Then came the expense of going to collage, NYU to be exact. Big tuition even with a great scholarship no less. The transmission, brakes, and tires got together on the 4Runner right after its 320k birthday oil change and wanted to retire, together the repairs were more than the car was worth, much more! I went to the dealership that I had bought all of the Toyota!s from, thinking that I would get a great deal for being loyal. As I approached the lot, I saw this shiny voodoo blue FJC placed on one of those pedestals they like to use to get your attention. As I drove by it, I would swear I heard it saying "Pick Me, Pick Me "! "I know you want me" ! Longer story shortened a bit, my excitement was to obvious to hide, and I learned the term "Stealership"! Her name is Ole Blu, and I'm totally in love with her! If only we could have kids!!

This is my first Toyota ever. I have always been of the mindset to buy American. I never liked FJ Cruisers, thought because i thought they looked funny.
About a month ago my wife and i were out with friends and walked past one in a parking lot. I swear this thing must have rubbed some good juju on me as i walked past, because from that night on I had to have one.
I started researching high and low and decided on a base model with high miles. However, after shopping around i got my "dream machine". A 2013 FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Edition , Cement. 61k miles. I am a lucky man. Thank you for reading my post.

My FJ is my first Toyota and I've been driving for over 30 years.

I went through a Nissan phase but my 03 Murano cured me of that and I've generally been a Honda guy otherwise. My son has since picked up an 11 RAV4. Now two vehicles with canister style oil filters, ugh.
