Correct me if I’m wrong, but neither of those are cai’s. Don’t they both suck air from the engine bay? And I’m curious, did they measure the relative hp’s when the engine bay is still cool (startup)? Does anybody know what the hp difference is between a K&N filter sucking in hot engine bay air vs the OEM intake taking in cold air outside of the vehicle? I'm skeptical of the 12 hp gain just by shortening/straightening a tube and changing filters. But, I've been wrong before.:bigthumb:

Anyway - Looks like the 12 hp has a larger tube and larger filter.

looking under the hood of my FJ, looks like both models draw air from the factory hole in the fender well and the top of the boxes have a compression seal that seals against the hood
