I recently took my 2008 FJ in for it's first oil change and once over at the dealer. It's got 2300 miles on it, all on pavement. We discovered a leaking front left shock. It will be replaced under warranty. My question is, is this a common problem? Should I start looking for aftermarket shocks?

Hi Brain, Going on 2 years now with 22,000 miles on my FJC and all my OEM shocks are fine. A lot of poeple here are mod crazy so if you got deep pockets go for it. BTW, your rig looks good and I like that new sandstorm color. Roma

i guess it all depends on if you are going to also change tires and bumpers and such if not than there is no need to change shocks
