I've noticed that my Wrangler MT's are getting rather more noisy as they wear.

I never expected quiet but was wondering how other MT's wear and what their noise level (especially on the highway) does.

Are there any comparisons on noise level for the different tires?

I can't compare my BFG MT's on my FJ55 to the Wrangler's. Just too much noise to really separate out just the tire noise.

Anyone ever taken a decibel meter to their FJC?

When I have to replace the Wrangler's, I will replace them with a MT (maybe 285/75/17 or 295/70/17), just not sure what brand. But would like something a bit less noisy.

I have Hankook Dynapro MT's in 285/75/16 and they make some noise but not that much as compared to other MT's. Have not had them long so I dont think I can provide a real good opinion, however, there are several others that have the same tires and have noticed they do not make nearly as much noise as other MT's and most have had good experiences in regards to the tires longevity.

I have always ran mud terrains...until I have fallen in love with the Pro Comp XAT's! These tires are super quiet, and self clean and dig very well. Have a look, you may like.
