I want to get my stock wheels power coated black. My problem is that this also my daily driver. Anyone have some extra wheels/tires I can borrow or rent for maybe a few days or a week at the most. Also any good recommendations for a power coating place in houston.. thanks..

I don't know of anyone with an extra set of wheels/tires you could borrow, but I'd watch Craig's List.

As for the powdercoating, PM FJNewB, he got a great deal here in Houston.

You could always start with the spare and then swap the tires out one by one.

That idea sucks. But it might be the best idea out there if he can't find a loaner set.

There is a rent your wheels place around 45N and crosstimbers and I think they do a short term rentals as well as a rent to own. If you can find a loaner you might check there! Good luck.

thanks for all the advice. I think the best solution is to rent a cheap car for a few days. I called rentawheel and they do not do short term tire rental. Only rent to own.

I always wondered what happens if you don't pay your tire note........

Do you come home to your car on blocks? What if you only rent to owned the tires? Do they just repo the tires and leave your rims on the car?
