I am looking to buy a FJ Cruiser and import it to my country. I am told there are some dealers in the US (but not all) who have experience in managing the export formalities. Please contact by PM me if you can assist.

Thanks

This is not likely to happen. Toyota reprimands dealers that knowingly sell for export, and yes they do track new vehicles leaving the country.

I am not a dealer but I export my cars to Europe and the Middle East a few times for personal use. Most dealers will not do this first it is way too complicated and requiring knowledge of export/import restrictions. It is a major headaches dealing with paperwork. And as RoverGGM said, they dont like that since it is considered grey market operation. Where do you want your FJ at?

RORO (roll on/roll off) = $1750 + ~ 500 for paperwork on both ends
20 ft container = $ 3500 + ~ 500 for paperwork on both ends.

from either NJ or Baltimore To Hamburg or Rotterdam same price....Transit time 7 to 10 days. Car must have clean title (no lien), and must be at least 6months old, if car is newer there is a lot more paperwork to curb you from entering in grey market operation.

You'd be better off to rent a decent car and drive around there (cheaper and less miles on your camaro)...Its not worth the headaches. People love to key the car specially in Spain and France. You would also have to get additional insurance since the US insurance will not cover...We are talking about big money for a short-time fun.....

P.S...Fast camaro = contradiction in term.....What model is it?

it is a 95 camaro (white) that TPIS helps me with.
Sweet Camaro...Dont you want to meet David Hasselhof with his KIT in Europe??? :fight:

But honestly, by the time you spend the money shipping it back anf forth. You could have rented a nice Porsche GT3 for a few weeks....
