...to ask this, but I am planning to do my own body mount chop (per all of the input from the search function on this forum), but the only thread I could find that described the type of tools I would require to do the actual cutting was a sawzall. Do I have to use a sawzall or would a cutting wheel work just as well?

I'd use the cutting wheel, but after you trim the body mount you need to a new plate cut to reinforce the opening then have the plate welded to the body mount.:cool:

or the crap u cut off you could use as youre plate like i did. But that takes some more work measuring and crap.

I used a wheel too. I had to remove the guard because it was getting in the way.... just be careful. Also, I would advise wearing long clothing, a hat, and of course eye and ear protection. Otherwise you will be covered in billions of tiny shards of steel and you'll itch like hell for a week. :mecry:
