Can someone give me some guidance on wading with a manual tranny?

I’ve been told that it’s important to not disengage the clutch when in water or deep mud. Is there some way of bunging up any holes in the bell housing to allow the clutch to be worked? A search of Jeep sites shows the existence of a “wading plug” specifically to address this. Is there an FJ equivalent?

Hmmm not to my knowledge...Land Rover had wading plugs but that was because they left a big hole in the bottom of the trans for oil leaks to run out... I don’t think Toyota have the same way of thinking....no oil leaks, no hole needed :cool:
