Im in the process of lifting my FJ i got the bilsteen 5100s 2.5" front and 1.5" rears using toytech springs.
Choices i like the nitto 295/70/17 if they will fit. Can i use a 3/4" spacer with the 5100s to raise it to 3.5" or will it pinch the balljoints? If not what would be next best option 285/70/17 Goodyear wranglers, Toyos, or the Hankooks which are only $209ea.

I ran 295/70/17 Toyo open country m/t tires with a 3" lift. With a body mount chop the only rub I had was on the upper control arms which were stock (The rub was not that bad only in during hard turns with a lot of articulation). If you plan on running 295s you may want to plan for a body mount chop and total chaos UCAs if there is too much rubbing for you.

Good luck getting the tires that are right for you.
