Hey everyone, im about to go down an inch on my rim to a 16" and need some opinions on what size i should get. 285 75 r16 has diameter 32.8", width 11.2" and height 8.4" while a 305 70 r16 has diameter 32.8" width 12" and hieght 8.4". i would perfer the 305 70 r16 since it has the same height and more width, but will it rub against my upper ball joint with a 3" procomp lift? any opinions would help. thanks

i currently have a 285 75 r17 which is 32.8" as well

Rubbing would depend on your wheels.

I too have 16" wheels, I went with the 285/75 R16's. I chose this because they're cheaper, the size difference to me wasn't large enough to care, they are a little skinnier (I prefer the tall and skinny), and we're talking about fractions here but you will get better MPG with the 285 (assuming they are the same tires just different sizes). But you do what tickles you.
