I'm about 3" taller after installing my Toytec FRCC lift kit with rear gas shocks. Looks sweet and rides really well so far!

And here is the after. I'd say the ToyTec lift give you the ability to clear one Border Collie (sitting up).

I'm off to crush some kittens!!!:rocker:

Here are some other simple stuff I installed tonight......As well as close ups of the springs and shocks.

Added my badge and installed the cargo bags that have been sitting in my FJ for 6months.

Yes...I know it is dirty. I like it that way (it's a truck).

Looks good Mat, who did the install and what rear shocks did you go with? Did you do the rear diff yet?

I had Krawltex do the install. They did a nice job. KrawlTex Custom Shop

While up on the lifts, I swapped out the front and rear diff fluid as well. I used my superior negotiating (whining) skills and got them to throw in the fluid swap for free as long as I provided the juice. Went with your suggestion of Royal Purple, which, by weight must be made of gold.

I have a set of Trail Gear sliders that should deliver soon. Trail-Gear Inc > FJ-Cruiser Products

The pathetic Dueller tires I have on there now kind of look silly. But, I am too cheap to toss them when they have 50% tread left. I'm hoping to wear them out soon and go to some 33's.

I went the ToyTec's 'Rear Extended length gas shocks'

FJ Cruiser Shopping Cart for Toyteclifts.com
Part #NGTR-FJ4R

ToyTec suggested them and said they perform as good or better than the OME shocks. Plus, they have a much better warranty than the OMEs. Most importantly - they are cheaper!

ToyTec gave me a good package discount and they were very pleasant to work with.:bigthumb:

You know, I have not really felt much difference cornering at all. The only change I think I feel is on bumps. Small bumps with a steep drop (like a speed bump) might seem a bit harsher - like the rear is pushing down to get the tires on the ground. Big bumps seem smoother. But - I think this is how it is supposed to work!

I put 600 miles highway, offroad, and city this weekend on the new lift and really could not tell you that I ever really felt any difference from stock.

Nice.
Did you go with Toytec or OME rear springs?
