my purpose built Storm Cruiser buildup aka. "the anti-bling movement" (mbarroso12's)

My truck is a means to an end. I use my truck as a safe and reliable daily driver. I also use it as a vehicle to get me to remote destinations and back home again. My truck leaves the pavement almost every weekend.

Chromed out road princesses make me laugh and I have no respect for posers. Every single aftermarket item was installed by me and gets used constantly.

My truck looked like this when i bought it

after shredding the useless stock tires and scraping the belly a couple times i got a OME medium lift and some 305/70/r16 Mickey Thompson Baja Mtz Tires

As I kept going to more remote locations and taking harder trails, the mostly stock equipment was not adequate. This is what my truck looks like today:

Here you can see my awesome Rasta 4x4 skids and some other front end goodies like my Warn M8000 winch and IPF 900 XSD off road lights.

Here you can see my Allphase Off-Road Rear Diff skid plate that has worked flawlessly. The blue tubes are extensions for my Diff and Locker breathers. They extend up into the cabin of my truck. You can also see the tail end of my Flowmaster exhaust.

I love my Race Runner Adjustable coilovers and my Total Chaos Upper Control arms. My swaybar was removed after self destructing.

After splintering the stock roof rack Sierra Expeditions hooked me up with this bullet proof ARB full length roof rack

Extreme Limits Off Road makes this awesome foam filter for my snorkel head.

My custom fitted Fobus holster for my custom .40 cal Glock

Just because i have a dirty mouth doesn't mean the wiring in my engine bay is.

Here is my main offroad gear. 100 extra feet of rope. 48" Fiberglass Waffle Boars courtesy of OKoffroad.com. You also can see my Pull Pal, 4 ton hand winch, Hi-Lift Jack base, and custom mounted fire extinguisher.

One of my NATO 5 gallon gas cans and one of my 5 gallon military grade water jugs.

Here is a list of what i have put on my truck

Yes, in fact there is not a single drop of water in the entire state of Arizona... nope, not one. No rivers, lakes... nothing.

Yo, mbarrosso - let's wheel! :D

Have you hooked up with any locals?

Your truck looks great, but purpose built? I thought Arizona was dry, does that snorkel really get a lot of use? As for the LED tail lights....very nice, but how do they make your rig perform better off/or on road.
during the rainy season we get huge rivers. I busted my stock tail lights after backing into a tree so i figured i'd upgrade. They are brighter and drain less power, but no, they do not aid in traction or give me better clearance.

That's nice! I too like the choice of firearms. Which holster is that? I will be adding a Surefire light to mine soon. Also I think that front bumper it what I will go with soon.

the holster is made by Fobus, it will accomodate any type of rail mount. It has held my handgun secure over many a rough road

Very nice purpose build.I have the same kind of thing in mind for my FJ. Only it's one thing at a time-it's a $$$ thing, but sooner or later I'll get there. It's great to look at all of these build up's & get the idea's I need. Nice job on your's

Very nice job. Well though out and completely functional.

This type of build strikes a chord in me since it is so useful. Yours is a particularly nice example.

Keep up the good work. :bigthumb:

x2 on the bling bling...but then again they look at us and say "why buy a $30K truck and then destroy it"...just a preference. Now those who mod their 4x4's and never touch dirt or sand are shameful little posers who should have all their gear stripped and cars burned to the ground...or better yet let one of us take it offroad and scrape, scratch, dent, roll and just FUBAR the car until they cry and or wet their pants.

Oh yeah, great build, very functional...me likey.
