Hmmm. Mud. I like the camping by the lake part, though. What's the terrain like in that area? Flat? Or does it have some fun elevation changes, like Citrus?
The Flatlanders are trying to figure out exactly where this is?

My guess is that it is FLAT LAND,,,, but do not really know, yet! :)
Do a Wikipedia searchg for "Orlampa" and I think you will have a good idea of where this is. Orlampa is a "made up city" that was developed by Kermit Weeks who also owns the "Fantasy of Flight" aviation museum and aerial tour company. The theory is that Orlampa is where the sprawling metropolises of Orlando and Tampa will someday merge. I don't know this for sure, but I'd bet money that Kermit Weeks owns the land and is looking for another way to bring traffic to his little corner of the universe. Not that I fault him for it, maybe it's a cool spot!

Yea, most likely.

I've seen the dude once on his tour there @ F.O.F. His name is Kermit Meeks, not Weeks. Rich guy who inherited a ton of money... You've gotta wonder when they tell you that on the tour.

It looks cool, maybe someone will take a ride out there and see how it is.
Couple of more points!

The phone number from a previous sign comes up as:

Lakeland Motorsports Park:

And A Flatlander says the guy is
the guy is roy spiker and he also owns the lakeland mud hole thats why it comes up
They also say it is in this area:

polk city, fl - Google Maps

Very close to me...I Know many people that go out to the Mud Hole but never heard of this park .. This is my first Off Road vehicle so I definitely have no idea on what is good and what is not..lol.. I will ask around and see maybe i'll get some good info.
So is Citrus more about technical crawling and less about mud? I dont really have an interest in mud.

Yea, it's more about the features than mud.
I am in Ft. Lauderdale, as much as I would love to have a nearby place for mudding, I think this is some park that is mostly for cycling and they made a small part with mud. Besides landfills, i havent seen any hills.

Oh ho-hum, Florida has hills...

Here's one man-made:

Notice the background (we were on a hill, there's a valley and another hill back there):

And let's top it off with a few of Paul's primo shots just to boot:

I am down to take a ride out there to see what it's about.
I have just heard it has been cancelled!!!!

Maybe something about getting permits or something....

If I hear anything more I will post it up.
Yeah Paul,

I was going to it with the NTORA.org crew, but they got the official word. I wanted to camp that Friday night. There was some legal problem.
