Purchased a 2007 6-speed FJ (133k miles) in mid December.

After a road trip from the mid-west to California, I have been completing some quality of life upgrades in the past month. So far I have added the rear gate latch release and lock switch, replaced the dome, cargo and mirror lights with LEDs, and added the side sun visors.

I also have a question about battery replacements. I am looking at getting an AGM style battery and wanted to see if anyone could confirm this is the right kind of fuse to use with the battery.

If anyone has any other suggestions for modifications and upgrades, please share them below.

Yes… that looks like a good solution to boost the battery voltage.

This is what I use; works great. Boosts the alternator output voltage by ~0.6v:

The GM diode works on both my '07 & '11 (w/ dual AGM's) & is a bit cheaper.
You absolutely need either one to keep your AGM alive.

I made it using a vinyl cutter. I used Oracal 651 permanent vinyl (Red 031, Orange 036, Yellow 021). The angle of the stripes are matched to the angle of the window. I attached my template file if you want to try it out.
