Just found my way into an FJ and I couldnt be any happier right now! My budget is a little tight at the moment, but I would really like to replace the struts. 90% of the driving for this vehicle will probably be on the pavement, but I would like it to be offroad friendly as well. Any advice?

Welcome from Oregon :)

Coil overs on the front, shocks and springs on the back.

Are you having any problems with the current suspension? Do you know the packages (options) that your FJ came with.

Lookup by VIN number

Packages/Options

For your needs the stock or optional Off Road Package would do nicely. I did logging, forest service and fire roads with stock suspension for some time before upgrading. Better shocks and springs are never a bad thing.

The strutts don't have a lot of life left in them, accoring to the inspection I just had. So, it is one the radar. Thank you for the links!
