Good morning,

I am current subaru owner and now looking around to get my first FJ.

In state of Maine, there is only a few FJ thats lurking around. And that’s make me a big fan of it.
There’s not a lot of FJ around my area and since its a toyota, I know that its going to be rugged.

I recently found an FJ that will fit my budget, but I'm not sure on what to look for.

Would love to here from you guys on any inputs that will help me on my purchase.

I read the topic on pre purchase section and it helps a lot.

Hopefully once I have all the details on the FJ that I’m looking at. I can put it all in and hear from you guys about your inputs.

Thank you!

Hello from Texas! I've heard of Maine, isn't it halfway to Canada?

Maine is 4 hours north of Boston. So yes it’s on the border of Canada.
Lots of back woods and trails perfect ground for FJ to have fun!

Hi Mainerfj, welcome from central Ohio!
Good luck on the search.
I saw a 2010TT with Maine plates around Camden Hills last summer, so while you many not have a lot of FJs you have some of best :wink

Welcome from a former Subaru driver in WA. I commend the decision to trade up
Thank you!
Subaru been great to me, but the worries of head gasket/turbo giving out is a pain!

Also in the last 2 years its been on the fender bender accident multiple times.
Thankfully none of it is my fault.

Last week someone rear ended me and the insurance said it’s totaled. Its only quarter panel damage on the rear passenger and tail light. But oh well i guess its a sign. ???

Welcome to the club. I just recently bought an FJ in July and am a little familiar with Maine. Both are great and will go together well. Just got back from my dad's place on the water in Jonesboro Maine and cruising around the Acadia area. Pull the trigger when you find the right one. You will not regret it.
