Welcome to the FJ Cruiser Forums!

Congratulations on your purchase
(or your near-future purchase) of the Toyota FJ Cruiser!

You've just joined the best FJ Cruiser forum on the Internet, not to mention one of the best websites on the Internet... period!

Before you get started with your forum experience, please take a quick minute to read through this "welcome pack" that will help you enjoy and get the most out the forum.

1. Before you post anything, take some time to browse through the many different topical areas to see what's offered here, and to see how other members typically use the forum.

That way, you can determine what categories best suit your particular areas of interest, and to identify the appropriate sections into which you can post your comments and/or new threads.

Also, visit our Forum Rules to see how our forum is regulated.

2. Make sure that your very first post is right here in the Introductions & New Arrivals forum. That will give you an opportunity to tell us a little bit about yourself, and to receive a warm welcome from many of our 20,000+ members.

3. If you get stuck at any time or have any questions about navigating your way through the forum or using any of the forum's many features, visit the FAQ's. It will answer virtually all of your questions about posting pictures, creating links, editing your posts, etc.

4. Some of the terminology and lingo might have you completely baffled as you read through an ocean of abbreviations and acronyms. This Forum Glossary will help you with all of that confusion.

5. When you first open the Forum, you can start in a variety of different places for your forum browsing. Many members simply open the main Forum page and take it from there. Many others make Active Topics their first stop to see what the current forum discussions are.

And you can also start your forum journey in New Posts, as well as, on the Forum's Home Page.

6. You'll see all of the different categories, sections and sub-forums laid out on the main Forum page. So, whenever possible, always initiate your new threads in the appropriate area so everyone will know exactly where to look for it. (Plus, that saves us over-worked under-paid moderators from having to keep moving threads from one section to another.

And, if it isn't related to FJ Cruisers (and other similar topics), Off-Topic is the place where anything goes... well, almost anything. :D You'll need to check the 18+ year old box in your Account Settings/Preferences/Content to agree to entering here. *Show sensitive and/or mature content. Content not recommended for those under 18.

7. Can't find a certain topic or an answer to your specific question? That's where your Search Function comes in very handy. Use it often. You'd be surprised what's already hidden amongst the thousands of threads and posts on this forum.

8. One particular section of the forum that you'll visit frequently is the Technical Articles forum. There, you'll find hundreds of how-to articles (written exclusively by our own members) for virtually every modification and do-it-yourself maintenance task that you can think of... not to mention a large collection of "buyers guides" for all the popular FJ Cruiser add-ons.

The best place to start in the Technical Articles forum is the frequently updated thread entitled "CONTENTS: Read First" (which typically appears in the header of the Technical Articles area from the main Forum page).

9. At the bottom of the main Forum page, you'll find a list of our Supporting Vendors. These are the fine people and companies who financially support this vast forum so that you don't have to. So, whenever possible, be sure to return the favor by visiting them first when it comes time to purchase your after-market equipment, accessories, trail gear and other FJ Cruiser related items.

10. So, have fun! Learn all you can about your FJ Cruiser, while at the same time, sharing your knowledge with all of us.

11. The PM/Conversations (private messaging) feature on this site is disabled to new members until they have reached ONE open post on the board. This is for your benefit as it reduces spam and trolls, so get posting and get involved.

We've got a great group of people on-board the forum, and they're always eager to lend a helping hand. So, don't be afraid to ask questions of any of our members. They love coming up with the answers. :)

And, at any time that you might encounter an obstacle, please contact any one of our forum moderators. We've got a great gang of moderators (if I do say so myself :D) that will be more than happy to solve virtually any problem you might have.

Once again, welcome to the FJ Cruiser Forums!

Yours truly,
The Administrators and Moderators of the FJ Cruiser Forums

Another great place to seek answers, is the Forum Gurus and Mentors thread. Here, many of our members have volunteered their time and topical area expertise to give us all a hand with figuring out the mysteries in many of the popular categories where we often get a little stuck.

And, now you're one of the "answer persons." :) :)

BTW, everyone . . . . Kim (neworleansparrothead) is now the moderator of the Introductions & New Arrivals and Newbie Discussions forums (as well as the 4X2 forum).

She's not only a very fine lady, but one who is always willing to help forum members in any way that she can . . . . especially the newcomers. So, please don't hesitate to call upon her for your assistance and advice. :bigthumb:

great idea. I have been handing out my Wolf cards and I was thinking the other day that I hope none will get deterred if they see the "supporting member" stuff right off the bat and think they have to pay.....But that should be just the ticket for anyone signing up......

Welcome everyone who has posted!

However, I think Steve meant to post in the section and not in this particular thread.

Start a new thread in the section and introduce yourself. That way we can respond to you individually. Keeps those with simple minds like me frrom getting all confused.

x2. Thanks, FJ Marine. :)

Yeah, all newbies go ahead and start your own introduction thread (rather than here) so we can all give you a warm welcome. :bigthumb: :bigthumb:

(In the mean time, I'm going to move all the intro posts from here into their own threads.)

Hello all the Name is Ryan AKA Wolf and I have a Silver 2007 FJ Cruiser called DRTDIVR which I use as a call-sign as well. I have had DRTDIVR for a year and love it. What I have done and plan to do can be read on my website to which there is a link in my signature.

Hello. Brand new to forum, went today to order my first new vehicle in 12 years. Have been researching the FJ for over a year, there are only 5 TT with a 6-speed manual left in U.S. Chance of getting one slim to none, waiting to hear from dealer. Reside in Indiana. Love the forum. Thanks.

I am a second-time FJ owner. Had a 2007 Ti 4wd and now a white 2010 4 wheeler. I didn't even think about not owning an FJ on the most recent time around in February.

Any real estate tract that gets seen will be seen first, from behind the wheel of my white FJC. The FJ truly is an amazing ride. I had a '68 FJ40 when I was into pulling a small boat and putting into the water. That was a workhorse. Nowadays our newest FJ's are stallions. Still love their versatility.
