I have recently noticed a kind of squeaking/rattle coming from the drivers side door at about left ear level. Windows snugged up, seat belt retractor either loose or tight, I can't feel any movement between the door frame and the door. Any ideas?

Remove the door trim and drive like that to help zero in on the source.

Look for rub marks where the latches engage with the strikers or anywhere around the perimeter of the door opening, for evidence of a source.

I had a similar problem with mine, pulled off the trim and found the nut on the door check was loose. Tightened everything down, and the noise is gone. Just be careful not to snap any plastic bits on the trim like I did, it's worth the $4 to pick up a spudger set if you don't have one.

I took most of that advice and everything was tight. I already had a set of Harbor Freight "spudgers". I used some spray silicone lube on door weather seals. That's what did the trick. Next time I will try that first. I probably would not have even noticed if it not that close to my left ear.
