So I bought an OEM roof rack off of a wrecked FJ. Problem is, the idiots who took it off the wrecked truck manhandled it and it's been split like this ever since. How would you fix it? Surely there's some kind of aluminum filler you can buy, fill that spot up and sand it down. Or can I just reorder that center piece? BTW, I don't remember where I got it, I just know it was a salvage yard in Texas.

search the forum for sale section, someone was splitting the rack and selling the parts. I think it was back four to six months. good luck

PM'd member and he never responded. Surely there's like a metal putty or something out there I could use to bond that together, then sand it down...

I don't know if it will work for a gap that big. The only other thing I can think of is Bondo, which you could certainly sand down smooth for looks, but it wouldn't support any weight or pressure.
