Interesting...I was flipping around on the TLC restoration site, and found this....

FJ40 PROTOTYPE

This truck was commissioned by Toyota Motor Sales USA as a design study for the 2006 Land Cruiser. It is one of an ongoing series that we are involved in. It features a 2001 Toyota V6 mated to a solid case cast iron five sped transmission and transfer case. Stock FJ40 axles with stabilizers, P/S, Old Man Emu suspension, Warn 8274 winch, brush guard and more. The interior features waterproof carbon fiber laminated top grain leather upholstery on the seats and steering wheel and Line-X on the floor and dash. The body is all new and based on our Body Tub from Toyota of Brazil. The dash panels were hand crafted from 6 different donor Toyota vehicles. This truck belongs to Toyota Corp. and lives nearby at their headquarters in Torrance California.
