The headlights on the FJC I just picked up need some restoration, but given the price of these replacements, I would rather just swap them. Also thinking about swapping the front turn signals.

Anyone have any experience with either of these products?

I bought these:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Signal-Lights-Lamps-Euro-Black-for-2007-2013-FJ-Cruiser-Driver-Passenger-Pair/141783906007?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

They delivered and they look like quality pieces, but I haven't had an opportunity to install them yet.

For me, I didn't think that LED version of the turn signals was the right look for my FJ. I wanted the traditional looking bulbs. And I was definitely happier about the $78 price!
Nice. Those look almost identical to the LED version at a much better price. Please post a review after you have run them for a while and some pics too.I can go traditioanl bulb over LED as well. I am just not fond of the big amber chunks on the corners (nor am I of the "bumper wings" too).

Just put my new front blinker units on this afternoon. It wasn't hard. I watched this video before I did it:

I did it a little different. After looking at it carefully, I decided to remove the grill too. That made it easier to get them in and out. Took about an hour. Only problem was reaching my large hands into a very small opening to get the three nuts off each side.

These fit perfect and I LOVE the way they look. To my eyes it really modernized the front of the FJ without making it look at all "ricer." It's a really nice visual update for only $77.

Thanks. That settles the turn signals for me (will probably buy the ones that are slightly smoked).

I have pretty much decided on the Morimoto Super7 for the headlights, possibly a KC Hilites. The Morimoto are out of budget for the time being, so I will just have to wait.

Curious, I did read something about the FJC headlights not being perfectly round, so a regular 7" light is not a straight drop-in. Anyone have experience with that?

According to the comments, the ones in your link don't fit an FJ. :frown

I found these:

https://www.amazon.com/Approved-Headlights-Assembly-2007-2014-Warranty/dp/B07S8N1ZZW/ref=sr_1_15?crid=SMY1QFOYL6J7&keywords=fj+cruiser+headlight+assembly&qid=1569818398&sprefix=fj+cruiser+headlight,aps,219&sr=8-15

The seller says they work on an FJ. I asked the question to see if anyone had tried them. I'm really tempted.

*** Edit: I got a reply to my question on Amazon. Apparently someone tried the lights I linked above and the fit wasn’t right ***

I'd like to see how they fit an FJ, considering that these are standard 7" sealed units and FJs don't have a standard 7" carrier...
There is a question from someone asking if they work in an FJC and an answer stating that "they work great in my pickup".
Does anyone know of a 7" adapter/carrier for FJs?

I just finally put some miles on my FJ and did some night driving as well. The headlights on this thing are so bad that I was driving with the high beams and nobody even complained.

All I want to find is a nice glass headlight for this thing.

Easiest fix is to put a 35w HID kit in there. Don't go anywhere near LEDs - they are brighter, but most of that extra light goes straight into oncoming drivers eyes.

Diode Dynamics is a supporting vendor, and every one of their products is top notch - the only bulbs that I haven't replaced with theirs so far are my headlights (I have another brand HID kit for now).

4300K light temp is my preference (and what I run currently).

I haven’t measured, I just assumed they were 7”. What size are they?

Dan
It's not the size, it's the mounting hardware that's the problem.

FJ Cruiser headlights are not really 7" lights like Jeeps and older vehicles. They have an integral housing that makes them unique. Don't search for 7" lights, look for FJ specific.

How difficult would it be to build some adapters, if even possible?

I have not taken apart my FJC to take a look.
Based on the fact that nobody has made one that I'm aware of, I'm guessing significant
