While not exactly a "super bloom", I did want to direct your attention to current conditions in Big Bend...

In the 8 years that I have been coming down here, I don't ever recall seeing it so GREEN. I've been down here a week and the temps have been fantastic. We are still in the monsoon season, so you may have to deal with some rain, but if you can get here during the month of September, you won't be disappointed!

It is really a treat to see it so green. We hiked the Lost Mine trail yesterday and saw a small back bear at the first overlook (from a safe distance). It was an awesome sight.

I hope anyone that has been "thinking about a trip" will use it as motivation to down here. It's my favorite place in Texas.

I've been watching all the Facebook posts about the weather and greenery. I'm bummed that I have to wait 93 more frikkin days to get to Big Bend!
Hitting Los Alamos Ranch the first night, then spending 4 more in the state park.
The goal is to find Casa Ramon and the Cienega Gorge.
Enjoy your time out there!
Feel free to post some photos and/or videos.
