I plan on purchasing 16"X8" steel wheels and installing Pro Comp 285/75R16 Xtreme MT tires. Does anyone have any experience with this size tire on the Wheelers steel rims and which backspacing works best 4.5"or 4"?

These are the rims i have with 34x10.50 LTB's.
Mine have a 3.75" bs. I am pretty sure that with either bs you will not have rubbing issues. Get the 4" if you want your tires to stick out a little bit more. You will be further from the UCA but closer to the body mount. Most likely, you won't have to chop the mount for normal driving, but at full turn and articulating, you MAY have some rubbing if you don't have them chopped.

Also, you will need to buy new lugs. Gorrilla lugs are nice!
