quick sub question

598 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  BigEd78
I am going to add an amp and sub to my Fj. Does anyone make a wiring harness for the sub. I don't want to splice into the wires if i don't have to.

PS This will be aftermarket amp and sub.

Thanks

I don't think you will be using that oem sub connection, with an aftermarket sub and amp. I could be wrong, but not sure you can use it.

I was going to try to use the remote and speaker lines instead of running new ones, well I need the speaker lines for the pac.
I would run new line if it was me. You could this cable, lets you make less runs. Monster Cable 4-Conductor 16-Gauge In-Wall Speaker Cable.

Monster Cable 4-Conductor 16-Gauge In-Wall Speaker Cable UL-approved for in-wall use at Crutchfield.com
I am using the factory head unit. I am going to run a new power,8 gauge, and ground. I wanted to use the existing sub speaker wires for the input, using a pac or a rca converter. I did not know if there is a line already ran for the ign., if there was I wanted to use it instead of running one from the fuse panel. I really don't want to splice into the lines if I don't have to.
