Was wondering if the rear skid that comes on the new Trail Team Edition just another BLING plate?
I see it has a cross member. Is the plate similar to the front bling plate?
Is it protecting anything?
Is it worth considering as an add on?
Since it sit high up on the rear does it allow room for the All Pro high clearance exhaust?

it sure seems like bling i looked at one and it doesn't seem like it would protect anything important.

There is one for sale on EBay right now. It looks very similar to the OEM front plate in construction.

I actually added a "bling" front skid plate because I mostly deal with sand, mud, water and brush - not rocks. The rear area just doesn't seem have the same level of equipment to protect though. The real advantage I would see on a rear skid plate was if it helped me avoid getting hung up on a stump in the zone between rear axle and frame. JMO

IMO it's completely pointless. It's not protecting anything vital on the truck.... it covers up dead air space and the frame. Meanwhile, the tailpipe and plastic bumpers are free to be smashed.

That is, unless I'm mistaken... I've only seen pics of it.
