Hey all,
I've read through the posts and threads on rotors and breaks. Well this weekend we changed out the brake pads on my 07 FJ. What we found was that the rear pads (original to the FJ) had large grooves worn into them from strips of rust that had formed on the upper and lower edges of the rotors.
Has anyone seen this?
I have a bumper ot bumper warranty until 75,000 m, will Toyota cover new rotors?
Thanks for your time!
Wendy

Rotors/brake pads are usually deemed as wear items under most warranties. Just like tires they are designed to wear during use so I doubt you can get them warrantied, but you can always ask the dealer. Nobody here will be able to tell you what your dealer is willing to do for you though.
