I have posted info on the 'What did you do to your FJ today' so apologies for those who have seen it but it's generated quite a bit of interest so I thought worthy of it's own note...

Two replacement genuine Toyota items that are in my view well worth the change.

The first is for those with the canister type oil filter. Toyota make an alloy version of the housing. Part number 15620-31060. Swapped mine over, well worth a minimal outlay for a higher quality part.

And the second is to replace the Transfer box and rear diff drain and filler plugs with Toyota inhex versions....

I don't know why Toyota still fit the too soft 24mm head bolts... that round off however carefully you do them up... These are perfect and although a little longer do not come anywhere close to any internal components.

Thanks to @Bazross for the heads up on these...

The video gives you the part numbers.

Thanks for the drain plug numbers. Those look a hell of a lot nicer that the OEM ones. The video was very informative too. Just in time for my diff oil change. :bigthumb:
