Hello. I can't seem to find online the maximum carrying capacity for the Rhino-Rack RSP25 Two Crossbar System. I want to hook up a roof top tent (Smittybuilt Overlander) to it. I am wondering if anyone else has this crossbar system and knows? Also any feedback / things I should know about the Smittybuilt Overlander roof top tent?

If you look on their website and click on the installation instructions for a product they give the load rating for that item

It says 70kg which is about the weight of the RTT. But with 2 adults in the RTT it will be much higher? It doesn’t make sense to me. Is the 70kg max only when vehicle is in motion? Can it take the weight of 2 adults when parked and tent it up? It just seems low?

Yes that is the dynamic load. You’ll need to confirm with them if that is per bar or per pair if it doesn’t say. From what I know most bars are rated around about the same and many people mount tents on either two or three bars so I would think you will be fine but you could email Rhino to confirm

Thanks!! It should be clearer and say Dynamic vs Static. I assume dynamic is when driving vs static when parked

Yes. I answered that question in your other post. If they quoted the static load then people would sue them when it failed driving down the highway! For off-road use you should also halve the dynamic load to safely handle the extra stresses.

It's not entirely clear if you have the rack system already or are inquiring before purchasing. If the former, please disregard but... If it's the latter, depending on your timeline, I'm going to be replacing + selling my current Rhino Rack Heavy Duty RCH Silver 2 Bar Roof Rack (JA9503) system with a third bar (whenever my new Baja Rack basket rack arrives...). If interested, let me know.
