I'm installing 4 35w roof lights and am wondering how i should wire them. I'm using some of the FJ's stock components. Stock 15a fuse, stock roof relay, in-dash wiring and switch. 140w at 12v comes in at 11.67amps. So that should be fine especially since it will most likely be running at 12v+ with the alternators output.

Question: should i wire them all in series? Or parallel? or some combination of both? Also, should I use stranded or soild core wire? Thanks.

Run lights in parallel, not series. Each light is a load and acts as a resistance and will reduce power to loads further down a series circuit which makes them dimmer or not work at all. Stranded is prefered since it will not break due to vibrations. I'd recommend soldering connections too and use heat shrink as a short or weather protectant.
