Does anyone know if Toyota changed the density of the foam in FJ Cruisers in 2013 or 2014. All of the 2008-2012 models I have driven have extremely hard foam. The 2014's I have driven have a noticeably softer foam - even ones with low mileage. For example a 2007 with over 100 K miles has a much firmer seat than a 2014 with 30 K miles. Hardly any sinking at all in the 2007-2012's and considerable sinking in the 2014's. Toyota said they dont know anything about it, but perhaps the density of foam could have changed unintentionally due to changing distributors, etc. I bought a 2012 brand new and the seat was rock hard, and is still fairly firm with 170 K on it. All 2014's I have tested have much softer foam in the seats. Any info on this?
