I thought it would be easy to find, but I know the side rack goes on behind the driver, but can it be moved to the passenger side? Thanks!

Yes, I can be fitted to the passenger side but the "floor" of the wheel well does not work well with securing the rack on the bottom. Most people who do this, use it for light cargo only.

Is that just because it's harder to get to it underneath or because the height is different, etc? I am planning on mounting a Xantrax 1000W inverter to it, as well as some smaller items.

Its because the floor (or lower mount for MPAC) on that side is not structurally supported well compared to the other side. I've got MPACs on both sides and wouldn't put much weight on the passenger side MPAC rack.

It does fit, but there is a slight interference on the upper left corner of the rack an plastic panel compared to the DS. Rear plastic is slightly different for either side I guess.
