Hey fellas,
I had my fun but I think it's time for me to start looking at plug in electric vehicles, they are super intriguing to me at the moment and with the push to EV's, no time like the present. With that said, I am looking to put my ride up for sale and never thought I would say that. At 85,000 miles and a single owner, my rig has traveled from WA, HI, and now to GA with me thanks to the military.
The first few years I didn't really mod anything outside of cosmetic (black hood tint, armor on the mirror lights, locking fuel cap, and fender flares). The last three years however after consultations on this forum (click HERE) and with my old FJ group in Hawaii, I have done a decent amount of mods which I will list now (copy/paste from my receipt, apologies for the layout):
---
Front coils: Red 650 Lb.
Front Diff Drop: 4x4 Included With Kit
Rear Coils: Toytec Superflex Rear Coils
Add Aftermarket Upper control arms: Total Chaos Uniball UCA's - 96504
Rear Shock options: ToyTec Boss Rear Shocks
RCC2.0 : TTBOSS-FJ210-650-96504
RCC2.0 - ToyTec "Superflex" Rear Coils (FJ & 03+ 4Runner)
TAC-DR-05 : TTBOSS-FJ210-650-96504
TAC-DR-05 - Front Differential Drop Kit
TTBOSS-FJ210-650-96504 TTBOSS-FJ210 - ToyTec BOSS Suspension System for 10-14 FJ Cruiser
----
Additionally, the 33" KO2's fit perfectly with a BMC which I had done at a local auto shop (I didn't trust myself). Those measurements are now 305/70/16 (were 265/75/16) as I really wanted to keep the 16". And you can't get a lift and new tires without a new bumper so as pictured, I have installed a prerunner style front bumper with a stinger and it is honestly my favorite mod. I can see perfectly how close I am to something/someone in front of me as the stinger is the furthest point out of the vehicle (obviously, but I can see that now haha) With that, I replaced the washer fluid reservoir with a nice new black metal reservoir and cap and moved it to the back so you can no longer see an annoying blue reservoir with my bumper, holds a whole jug of washer fluid.
I almost forgot, I did add a custom subwoofer to the back right rear on the "shelf" (pics will be better than describing it) as well as new tweeters and door speakers. My final "mod" came just a few months ago with my dog, we made a custom memory foam front seat that brings your dog up to eye level with the windshield so your four legged friend can hang out with you on the road and smell the vents
. It is available to the buyer if they'd like, or I will keep it for my next EV/SUV.
I was about to just use my FJ as a trade in at a local dealership but I know it would be much more appreciated by someone here who doesn't say BRO to start each sentence, so here goes. I will say however that I would like an EV sooner than later so I may go the dealership route if they also offer me a good price and nothing has manifested here.
Asking $36,000 OBO. I will check this ad regularly and notifications turned on FYI.
This has been my absolute favorite vehicle and it drives amazing both on and off road. Regular maintenance always conducted at a Toyota dealership and a clean title, no accidents ever. I WILL miss this.
Happy Wheeling,
Brian
