The concept is intriguing as I do like the clean look. Breathing point flush with hood is most likely appropriate for most water applications unless you are planning to submarine; but what happens to the antenna? also, a filter would be nice for cleaner breathing....

I'd say it's too low...
Higher position means cleaner air ☝

Also, water can enter from there
for example... if I had this installed when I had my "water incident" this Snorkel would have been under the water with the rest of the hood of the car and would just "breathe water" in and choke the engine... On the other hand, the one I have, high on the roof, saved the engine from breathing water and shut off.

So I would say, yes, looks cool... But on the practical side I would say NO
