The times where I drive with just one hand, it's with my left one. Just used to it from my days driving manual transmissions, and since the FJ does come in stick, all the more reason.
All of the above. Maybe Toyotas are all set up the same. I've never had a Toyota before but every other vehicle, even that Pantera I drive a few years back , has had more intuitive controls. Just because it is a Toyota is not a good excuse. I know they can do better.Seriously?
Are you talking about the cruise, stereo, or wipers?
This is my 3rd toyota, and they've all been the same, so maybe i'm just used to it. I like the way its set up.
I drive a 92 camery and i drove a friends 04 camery... SAME stuff on the steering column... i guess its a toyota thing...i like itSeriously?

Me too.... they've all been the same, so maybe i'm just used to it. I like the way its set up.
If you don't like the FJC, you ought to see my wife's Lexus. It's got a ton of fingertip switches on the steering wheel, many of which you can't see but must operate by feel. I have no idea what most of them do.I have rented many vehicles, both foreign and domestic, and have never driven one with more complicated controls on the steering column. There is nothing intuitive about this mess. In every other vehicle I've driven, you could basically learn the controls as you were driving.
These controls are like a science project gone wrong.
