Subwoofer/Amp/OEM Head Unit

So, i decided the stock non-jammer system needed some bass.

Parts list
2 10" Kenwoods
1 350 Watt amp
1 Wire kit (wal-mart 24.88)
1 Line out converter (Best Buy 14.99)
1 mini add circuit (auto zone 8.99)

Misc Parts
rubber grommets
line splices
line connectors (male & female)
shrink wrap


To start
1.Tear Apart
remove rear mat, and all rear plastics

2. Wire from rear speakers to Line out converter (LOC) (this converts the signal to rca). You must either tap into your rear speakers (using line splices) or connect the rear line to the LOC. I wired strait from the rear wires to the LOC because i do not have rear speakers.
First picture is of passenger side coloum. Second is of driver side

I wired the diver side speaker wire over to the passenger side. I am putting the LOC in the passenger side storage. SEE PICTURE BELOW.

3. Run Power line from battery to rear of fj. (red Wire) Run P.Con line (blue) from fuse box. Use the add circuit in a switched circuit. SEE PICTURE
Picture one is wires with kick panel and footrest removed.
Picture two is wires running along side of fj.
Picture three is wires running up along the rear panel (beside rear seat)
picture 4 is add circuit with (blue wire atatched)

4. Place LOC in a location of your desire. I placed mine in passenger side storage. Then wire two rear speakers to LOC, Wire LOC to ground point. Wire RCA cables to AMP. I put my amp on driver side rear panel. see rough sketch.
Picture one and two is LOC with speaker wire and RCA attached (location passenger side) i drilled two holes and put rubber grommets in the holes.
Picture 3 is amp mounted on diver side rear panel. I drilled two holes and inserted rubber grommets then connected rca's and + (red) and - (black).

5. Resemble and play some music!
This is the hardest part. The plastic connectors line to fall off!
