For those of you headed to the Summit this year here are a few videos I made from last summers trip out in the wife's 2010 Rubicon. Unfortunately for a third summer in a row my schedule is going to keep me from making it to the Summit. But, I hope you enjoy the videos and it gets you fired up for some wheeling. Enjoy.....

No problem. I drive an '07 and we took it two years ago and did Imogene and many others. My only regret is I did not try Black Bear in it. I finally did it last year in my wife's Rubicon. You should do Black Bear, it is a great trip. Have a great trip.
Thanks for the info !!

Very nice, great job on the editing.

Imogene is my fav, been running it for over 20 years now. Black Bear is a must do. You'll all be kicking yourselves if you don't run it. I ran it totally stock, even the tires. Not a problem, minor contact on the plastic side steps. Those are gone now. Sliders installed

Looks like I'll be able to make my 5th summit. Yes it helps that I live 3-4 hours from Ouray:rocker:

See you all there.

Very nice video's even if it was filmed from a heep!:lol: Last year I was only able to do the upside to black bear, a landslide had closed the other side. :mecry:

All of the trails at Ouray are very easily done with a stock FJ. You do not need to spend money on anything to do them. Rental Jeeps do all but Black Bear and that is an insurance issue. The Summit has competent Trail leaders to get you there and back, just set back, listen and have a ball.

I normally get tagged/Trail Lead for the beginners on Black Bear, and we have a ball. I promise you you will enjoy the run. Doing it twice this year, 8am Thursday and 8am Saturday. You are welcome to come with us.

Just be ready for some of the most beautiful country you have ever seen, the greatest array of wild flowers and some beautiful snow capped Matahorn type peaks. It can not get to be July soon enough for me. I love the place. Plan to do Imogene at night this year to see the Milky Way. Has to be fantastic.

Your gonna love this place!!!!!
