I thought of making this Journal of my 2010 Black FJ, AKA The Carabidae..

The built will be a little slow due to the change of work location and daily life requirements.. anyhow, let's cut the talk and proceed..

I received the Carabidae the day before.. So i went to see how it drives offroad.. and snapped some shots

Then i Struggled to find some 33"s .. The only set i found in the local Market were Terra Grapplers in 33x13. so i hesitated at first and took them the next day.

As i said it rubbed and the same guy who installed the lift told me that he would do the Mount chop.. but it was like a backyard shop work.. even with the mount chop that he did, the tires Rub sometimes. So i took it to a specialised guy that some friends told me about and he did one hell of a chop. No more rubbing issues at all..
Took it to the same shop to level the suspension after it settled, and everything was perfect. Suddenly i had my ABS DSC and HandBrake lights that went on. didnt know what was going on so i went back to the shop and he checked the sensors nothing was wrong with them. but he didnt touch anything else. So i took an appointment at the Dealership for the 5K service and to check the lights.
The day before taking the car to the Dealership, there was some squeaking noise coming from the Passenger side suspension, so i took a look and it was the axle boot that was leaking.
Anyways, they did all the work at the dealership, the lights came on from the ABS system that didnt get any signals from the front wheels, and the boot was changed. No more squeaking and no more lights. But the squeaking came back after i took the car for a wash. which resides a mystery for me. but ill figure it out some day.
Not taking any longer, i have the Total Chaos UCA that is coming soon.

Thats Fitting. That wheel and tire package is killer man. I wish they had been making those wheels in silver. I have been looking at them since 07'. Looks good.
I had a crush on the wheels from the 1st time i saw them.. but i wasent sure at first about the tires, but they turned out to be fitting!
Thanks for looking :rocker:

when i first did the mount chop it was a mess. I took the car for a guy that my friends recommended and he did a clean job.

been long since i updated my build..
Well i got myself the OEM roof rack.. a 5th wheel and tire as spare tire..
i have been going back and forth on the exhaust.. i dont really know if i should go for it or keep it the way it is.. Friends have different set ups, some with headers and some just with a catback.. headers are a little noisy in cabin, and catbacks arent that bad.. just hesitant if i should pull the trigger on the catback..
I ordered the AFE Pro Dry S filter that should be on it way here.. and instead of taking off the OEM intake silencer i found a silicon tube tube that will fit the intake.. pictures at preinstall..

lets keep the build fresh.. here are some pictures from the last wheeling..

Did you ditch the rear view camera or do they not come with it in that part of the world? Truck looks good. Surprised you didn't go with white as I imagine the black color really makes it heat up something fierce in the summer.

No they dont come with it.. although they do come now with the 11 Models. Actually white was my first choice but the dealer didnt have any all they had was Blue, Yellow or Black. I Passed last summer with no problems.. :bigthumb:
