Hi all! Extreme Lurker here,
I've been on this forum for over 6 years, I actually started visiting here when I was very first considering buying one
I visit here all the time, and feel like a shadow member of your family (that you just don't know about)
All the posts here have been such a prolific resource for me -I really want to thank all the regular posters

This summer was involved in an incident that terminated my poor '07 TRD SE 6MT.
If the numbers are true, it was only ~10% of the 3200 production run of TRD's, making this a real unicorn!

I am a car guy at heart, and this crushed me more than I crushed her, And part of letting it all go, I want to share with you all my Journey & some great memories with it:

When I found her, it already had a Roadarmor stealth front bumper and a Warn Rear, but otherwise zero other mods -this is the first trip we did (at the Black canyon I believe)

I proposed to my wife on this day (She said yes!)

After the original KO's got worn down, I upgraded to Duratrac 285/70/16's. Also decided that the mirrors and door handles needed to be orange. We were in an apartment for several years & couldn't do any "real" mods"

Many Ski trips to the mountains

It was there when we bought our first house, and it was the car we took home our fisrtborn baby in

I started to get a bit more serious about offroading, and trying to more events with people -loved driving in dunes!

This spring I decided to go big, and upgrade the whole suspension

Loved taking it up Camping, many many times

And now got to start sharing off roading with my son -he was old enough to enjoy it

Added Rotopax; Radio and Chase Light

And off to it's last adventure in WY, this is the last picture of it...

...Unfortunately skidded it into a deep ditch around a bend and rolled it over. IT rolled only one time, but absolutely crushed her. Started right back up, and drove it back onto the trail, but it was totaled.

Got it back home & ready for the scrapyard -here are a few more pics of damage

Not supposed to be bannana shaped!

I was very sad for several months and pined over the loss of all the effort I had into it. But into the pursuit of adventure, it is the risk we take; and all material possessions can dissapear

And now it's time for my next project:

Look forward to posting more often this time around :)
Cheers and drive safe

It’s difficult to look at those wreck pics...naturally I’m imagining if it were my beloved FJ and can physically feel the horror. What an awful thing to experience. But you inspire us with your rebound and emerging with a nice hot Magma to begin again...hope you keep us in the loop with this build, and GL!

Ouch!!! Insurance or no, that would be hard to get over. Glad to see you are back in the Saddle so to speak.
Mines a Magma. Love it. I tell my wife as we drive down the rode and pass other FJ's, bet they wish theirs was Orange.
Easy to find in the Costco parking lot

Nice choice on the color you picked. Magma's, either in their stock form or built-up are as rare as unicorns in this area of SoCal. I'll keep my eye out for ya'. We're in 93505 area. :wink
