Larry, I've had trouble with my magnet mount antenna in areas with some low hanging tree branches. I would've had no problem with a more flexy antenna. What do you do? Just power through the tree? I've had a lot of trouble in the SB mountains. My antenna is about 3-4 ft taller then the roof.

Use your right mirror? I position it towards the doors and down on the trail so I can see. I move it back when I'm ready to get back on highway.

I've been thinking seriously about getting a convex mirror or camera for spotting the front. Mirrors are cheap and can be removed when not in use. Cameras are very cool, but more expensive. A front convex mirror might be useful for wheel placement or seeing over a blind crest.

Tom got hung up on that boulder but he was lucky that it was a flat top boulder. It was like a table. I don't think that was a good test for the factory skids. I would get the gas tank skid. The rock was just flat on the top.

Not really the best winching technique there. Showing a pic of you standing beside the winch line under load is not a good thing.

Probably barely any "load" at all. Car in neutral but they're too lazy to push.

Nice setup Larry. Surprised to see no difference in mpg with a fully loaded FJ. Any worries of theft or are they secured in a way that it isn't so easy remove them?

That's a lot of locks! No wonder you're looking for a single key solution. You got more money in locks then I do in mounting hardware! . I like the setup. Compact.

Or you can get a more aero triangular flag. Lighter and more smooth skinned flags will run higher up just fine. The whip's stiffness matters too.
