Back in September, I picked up my '08 Sandstorm. Automatic with Upgrade Package 2.

It was pristine. A virgin, if you will.

It wouldn't stay that way for long...

I had some big plans for this rig... and I knew just the guy to help me get it done.

Do you guys do the body mount chop down there? If so, how much do you charge and got any pics of your work on them?

And VOILA!!!! Sorry for the crappy pics, it was getting dark. I will get GOOD pics in the AM!

Enjoy!

The lighting in my shop doesn't show up much better:

And once again John has built another amazing rig!
Hands down, best Sandstorm build I've seen! Sick Rig!
Looks great huh Rob? What time are you coming and getting it tomorrow?
Good to see another Sandstorm getting modded up -- I'm plotting out my course for once the snow thaws around here in CO. Great looking wheels/tires, I'm planning on blacking mine out soon to approximate that look. Can't wait to see more pics.

Looks great!
Everytime I see those 7089s, I know I made the right choice.
Looks really good.

You will have to do a write up on the drivability IE: vibrations, power loss with no re-gearing. Also, I would be curious as to the how the driveline angles are... They should be good since the Fabtech kit is a true kit and has a drop bracket.

So tempted.
Looking good!! :)

I'd love to see an undercarraige shot... what's all that stuff hangin down? links in the front, shocks in the rear... it's quite a departure from the stock setup!

I'll get some more shots in the daylight today. It has a 9am alignment app't and then I'm sure Rob will be here shortly after that to pick it up ;)

John
Indeed I will.

As soon as it's back from seeing the Alignment Doctor I'll grab it!
Came out REAL NICE... LOVE THE LOOK OF IT...

You know those Wheels were gonna be my initial choice... but then I opted out for a little bit of bling... *BLING*

But Nice Rig... Good Luck with it!!!

Rob just picked it up, with a grin from ear to ear :) He'll have to report back on how it drives, handles, etc.

Here's the final pics:

Rob, you also need to get pics of it in the woods, dirty, etc ;)

Very sweet rig. Nice!!
Don't worry... as soon as it gets out and gets dirty there will be pics posted. I also have to take the pics of the rest of the little stuff... bumper, winch, CO2 mounting, Roof Rack, sliders... blah, blah, blah.

I almost forgot how big it was and had to stop myself from parking in the garage at work. Those days are over. :(
Looks great........ r u going to black out the mirrors, handles and rear wings?

I love the expedition bumper.

I sure am. I have the black Tundra handles on order. Seems like there's been a rush on them. Hmmm. Wonder why.

And I love the ExpOne bumper too. It really looks good and is a little less beefy than the ARB.
How did you mount the your spare? with a spacer?

Great looking Fj! :)

Thanks. The spare is mounted with spacers on the bracket studs. Is that how you did yours, too?
Haven't done mine yet...I read about the spacer deal here to do it and was wondering about how you did yours. Now that I know for sure it works I'm going to get mine and mount another 35 back there too.
Mind if I ask how thick is the spacer to get it to clear the stock rear bumper?
