Ticking Noise

Hey guys,

My 07 FJ has a ticking noise coming from the valve train at idle. I took it to the dealer and they service manager there said it's normal. Does any one else have a noise coming from their valve train?

Thanks!

I tried the pwm trick by isolating it with rubber o-rings, it did not work, so I disconnected the electrical connection to the pwm valve so it could not run and still hear the ticking, I have found a very noisy injector on driver side number one with a stethoscope and have put a can of seafoam in to try and see if it will clean it out otherwise I may have to replace the injector. Other than that I am all ears if anyone has found the solution to this.
I find my '07 to be noticeably less "ticky" with 5W40 or 0W40 in it.

I asked the same thing when I bought my 08, dealer and service manager said it was normal. I didn't believe them so I contacted a source at Hino motors via technical engineering manager here at work, and they told me the same. The valve train ticks on all 07 and up FJ's. It's anoying as hell to me because it make me think I'm burning oil or theres a leak....Freakin paranoid.
just tired the o-ring fix but it sounds the same.. might be the injectors, no clue at all.
I bought my 2007 Fj 3month ago, engine was running very smooth until i stuck in the mud one day when i was having fun in there, and got a water to my engine from air intake and didnt really realized that until i ve had an oil change after 2k miles( there wasnt oil almost, was water)... Had a slight ticking noise after mud party but thought it is some dirt or smth stuck in somewhere so its making ticking noise... After changing an oil ticking noise got louder, so i took it to toyota, had them change an oil and filter again they ve found a metal contamination in oil, so they ve advised me to buy a new engine:surprise
Ofcourse i didnt buy it, and since i am trying to find solution or the related issues on forums, and recently got this video on youtube which kind of explaining what it might be coming from, so you guys check it and share your thoughts about it... Thanks
