Tire and Wheel Questions

Currently I have the stock crap Bridgestone 265/70/17 with stock rims. I found a deal on a set of lightly used 285/70/17 BFG A/Ts.

Would I be sad if I put these on rather than look for 16" TRD wheels and 265/75/16s?

Any major performance/gas issues?

I know I may not be able to air down quite as much...

Last question - say I kept the 265/70/17 as a spare. Would this be a major issue on or off road? I mean, assuming I would just head to tire shop for a fix....

The stock tires are not as bad as you think. Air down properly and be careful with sharp rocks. As far as you being sad, I don't know...

Do you plan to do a lift? If the answer is yes, you may want to do it all in one shot. After a lift the stock size will look inadequate.
Other than the fact that the 65s are smaller they get a better pg than the 85s.

Also i agree that if you do get a lift, get the tires at the ame time.:bigthumb:
