We just installed the Daystar 2.5/1.5 level lift and need some new tires.

The hubby thinks we can fit 295/70/17's on there, something like a BFG KM2, Nitto Trail Grappler or Cooper Discoverer STT.

Will these fit without rubbing?

Or would our best bet be to go with the 285/70/17's??

I ran 295/70/17 Toyo Open Country M/T with a 3" Sway-A-Way lift. The tires rubbed against the stock UCA and polished them up a bit. Not a big deal but Total Chaos UCAs would get rid of it. I had a body chop mount so no rubbing there.

IMHO: the 285/70/17 is a good all around tire size for the FJC unless you want to upgrade more suspension components.

The 295s are the next step to the UCAs which is the next step to? Gotta love the mods. Hello, welcome and have fun!

Not sure on the other makes but the Nitto's Terra Grapplers look big for 295's. might want to see if you need spacers to avoid hitting the UCA's. The BMC is definate. Welcome to the Forum now get out the saw!!!
