So I am hoping to upgrade tires soon, and was hoping to go 285/70/17.

However, I have a set of 4Runner rims on the FJ, and was reading here that the offset is different, which can limit tire size.

Does anyone know the difference between the FJ and 4Runner rims regarding the offset? And what size tire could I realistically consider with these rims?

Good question! I’m researching same size tires in a trd rim. Will they fit and not rub? Anyone have this? Do they fit on trd rims and not rub? Was thinking about duratrac or Fun country. If anyone have these tires on trd rims, pls advise. Thanks.

Only difference is the width. Those are 17x7 et15. Stock FJC wheel is 17x7.5 et15.

May actually give you a little more clearance to your UCAs with a wider tire. I'd toss a 285/70/17 on them for sure. That or could probably do the 34x10.5x17 KO2 (they are nowhere close to 34s). Or lastly pizza cutters - 255/80r17.

Same chassis dimensions FJ/T4R. 285/70 or 285/75R17s(34") should not rub on the UCA. May rub elsewhere without lift/trimming, etc.
