The body damage kind of sucks when you first get it, but will be a good memory down the road (hopefully).

I've been there before with the body damage, had a nice gash going down my drivers door all the way across the rear fender, that was a $1500 fix. My paint is scratched and pin striped to hell, but what I'm most upset about is that A. I though I learned my lesson to stay away from jagged tree roots and rocks and B. The only reason I tried the hill again is because my buddy was riding with me and of course I'm sure you know it didn't take much convincing from him to get me to try the hill again...it was a stupid place and reason for body damage but oh well, it's just a battle scar, serves as a memory, and isn't too horrible. I'll probably get it repaired sometime in the next year...just to take it out and bash some other piece of body work in again. :bigthumb:

Yeah, that's why I haven't fixed any of mine yet. Figured that as soon as I do, I'll just bash up the same spot again. :lol:

Yea, that would be my strategy, however my father still owns the title and is paying insurance and what not since I'm a broke college kid (by broke I mean all my money has been spent on FJ modifications, my girlfriend, and beer), and therefore he has a say in the matter, and he and I don't always see eye to eye on this whole "it's an FJ, it's home is on the trails" attitude...just a few more years and I'll be the outright owner and can do as I please :cheers:

Some pictures I took today just fooling around, figured I'd resurrect this build thread from the dead. Got a bunch of dents and such taken out and had a respray on the paint...had some pretty bad pins tripping and a little vandalism from a certain figure being drawn in the mud on my paint and leaving a giant phallus scratches into it. Been trying to take it easy on the new paint but I'm so addicted to offroading that I've already managed to add some custom pin striping.
